The United Jewish Federation of San Diego County running a special Taglit-Birthright Israel trip EXCLUSIVELY for San Diego County young adults ages 22-26, on July 16
th, 2008 in honor of Israel's 60
th birthday. We'll visit the Sha'ar HaNegev Region of Israel, San Diego's Partnership Region, and learn how it is dealing with the current conflict in nearby Gaza, hike Masada, swim in the Dead Sea and spend Shabbat in Jerusalem and even visit Eilat -- Israel's Cancun! As part of this fantastic experience, we'll spend part of the trip with Israeli soldiers exploring the differences between life in America and life in Israel.
